As the world gets ready to watch "Star Trek: Beyond" for the first time, U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed Chris Pine, Karl Urban and Simon Pegg to the White House in Washington, D.C., for a special screening of the film.

No, President Obama wasn't there. But veterans and service members, along with their families were.

It was part of Mrs. Obama's Joining Forces initiative that she runs with Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden. The program helps find work and other services for veterans once they leave the military, something that is not as easy as it should be for those who have served their country.

Mrs. Obama gave a short speech about the program, and talked highly of the movie. She ended her remarks with a "May the Force be with you," hopefully as a joke.

Sadly, the White House didn't post a video of everyone watching the film, but you can see Mrs. Obama's remarks right here.
