‘Voyager’ Guest, ‘L.A. Law’ Star Larry Drake Dies

Appeared as Chellick in the 2000 episode ‘Critical Care’

Larry Drake, who took home two Emmys for his groundbreaking work in the popular NBC series “L.A. Law,” has died. He was 66. Drake was reportedly found in his Los Angeles home by a friend Thursday. No cause of death was provided. Drake played Benny Stulwicz, a mentally disabled office clerk, who seemed to be the only sane voice on a floor full of egos in the drama series that ran between 1986 and 1994. Although he would go primarily into voice acting once “L.A. Law” went off the air, Drake would make a number of guest appearances in shows, including “Firefly” on Fox, “St …

Controversial ‘Voyager’ Actress Picks Trump Over Cruz

Amy Lindsay appeared in pulled political ad once her past resume was revealed

Although her actual screen time in the series finale of “Star Trek: Voyager” was brief, Amy Lindsay sure knows how to pull Star Trek into the hotly contested presidential race. Lindsay made headlines last month when she appeared in an ad approved by Republican Ted Cruz which, among other things, attacked one of his primary campaign opponents, Marco Rubio. When word of her past resume outside of Star Trek surfaced — in softcore productions like “Kinky Sex Club” an …

Exploring Bryan Fuller’s Trek Resume, Part 1

How might the writer’s past episodes influence the future?

If there’s anyone who doesn’t need a resume handy when applying for a job running a new Star Trek series, it’s certainly Bryan Fuller. Whether it’s “Dead Like Me,” “Hannibal” and even his interesting take on turning “The Munsters” comedy from the 1960s into a 21st century drama called “Mockingbird Lane,” Fuller certainly has paid his dues when it comes to television. But he also has an extensive writing resume for Star Trek as well, primary with “Star Trek: Voyager,” where 14 of the 16 total episodes he had a primary writing credit came with Capt. Janeway and her valiant crew s …

Trek Actress Forces Presidential Candidate To Pull Ad

It’s not because she appeared in ‘Voyager,’ but instead because she does soft porn

Sometimes running a name through the Internet Movie Database can really save some headaches in the future. That’s probably something Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has now realized after his campaign was forced to remove an advertisement for Cruz after it was discovered Amy Lindsay was among the actors featured. Lindsay, who had a bit role in the series finale of “Star Trek: Voyager” as Lana, the wife of Robert Picardo’s Doctor in the alternate future, was one of several actors who expressed concern about campaign policies of Marco Rubio, another Republican cont …

In the second part of his interview with 1701News writer John Kirk, Robert Picardo talks more about his involvement with independent Star Trek productions and his opinions on their future. Picardo also shares some delightful anecdotes about his time on “Star Trek: Voyager,” including his relationships he developed with his castmates and how he landed the role of everyone’s favorite hologram. Robert Picardo Talks Star Trek Past, Present

EXCLUSIVE — PART 1 OF 2: ‘Voyager,’ ‘Renegades’ actor reflects on franchise roles

Playing an artificial lifeform is a lot of fun — just ask my Playstation. But one of the many great themes in Star Trek is the technological evolution of artificial intelligence. We saw hints of this in the “Star Trek: The Original Series” episode “The Ultimate Computer,” written by D.C. (Dorothy) Fontana. It takes a great deal of talent to emulate an intelligent computer program like “Star Trek: Voyager’s” The Doctor, played by Robert Picardo, and a fundamental criteria to a successful franchise is to contribute well-intentioned suggestions about such a unique character. …

Police are calling Linda Pawlik an accessory after the fact in fatal L.A. shooting

Police have arrested the wife of “Star Trek: Voyager” star Robert Picardo after accusing her of being an accessory to a murder last year in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department says Linda Pawlik was involved in the killing of Edward Mello, 43, last October at a Ventura Boulevard hotel. Officers already arrested Jorge Rodriguez in November and charged him in the shooting, and say Pawlik is accused to being an accessory “after the fact,” according to CBS Los Angeles.
