CBS has been collecting a lot of big names for its new Star Trek series on CBS All Access. You know, Nicholas Meyer. Rod Roddenberry. Bryan Fuller. But has the series added the biggest name yet? You know, J.J. Abrams? There’s been no announcement at all, but one former actor in the Trek television franchise believes it’s true, dropping it as a quick aside during a recent interview. “You know, I’m looking at the people they’ve lined up working on it, and J.J. just came aboard as a producer,” former “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star Brent Spiner told Collider. “And yo …

Abrams Options Graphic Novel From Greg Grunberg

‘Dream Jumpers’ will publish in June, with Paramount getting film rights

It would appear that J.J. Abrams and former “Heroes” star Greg Grunberg are joined at the hip. Even when it comes to a yet-to-be-released graphic novel that Abrams already has optioned to produce into a film. “Dream Jumper,” a graphic novel Grunberg wrote with Lucas Turnbloom, is set to be published by Scholastic Corp. on June 28. The story focuses on a boy who can jump into other people’s dreams, according to Variety, only to discover that by doing so, his friends never wake up. Adam Nimoy Will Travel To Vulcan … Canada

Six years after his father, the younger Nimoy will check out Vul-Con

Vulcan without a Nimoy isn’t really Vulcan, right? That goes for Vulcan, Alberta, as well. ‘Four Stars’ Enlists Former Starfleet Admiral

Unless there’s room for Christopher Pike’s ghost, we won’t see Bruce Greenwood in this summer’s “Star Trek: Beyond.” But we just might see him this fall if CBS decides to pick up the military drama “Four Stars.” Greenwood is set to play Gen. Buckley, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Buckley is a four-star general who commands international special operations programs from his military installation in Tampa, Florida. Although it’s not clear if the show will be based there, Tampa is home of U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base, which in the past has handled …

Bryan Fuller was not the only one added to the mix. Heather Kadin is on board, too

But Heather Kadin is not someone fans should overlook.
