The promised remastered version of “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” is now out on Blu-ray. And we want to give you the chance to win a copy for yourself.
Paramount Pictures and 1701News is giving away two copies of the movie pack, which includes both the original theatrical release and the director’s cut approved by Nicholas Meyer.
But just like how Kirk and Khan had to fight blindly through that nebula, you’ll have to scavenge your way to the treasure. Each day for the next week, 1701News’ social media area, TrekTalk will post a word or phrase. You’ll then have to find a story either right here on 1701News, or on Airlock Alpha that has that word or phrase, and post it as a comment on the Facebook page.
The first person to post a unique link gets five entries. You also can just copy and paste that link if you want, but you’ll only get one entry. If you find your own link and post it first, you’ll get five entries.
There is only one comment per post (which means you can find up to seven links).
And don’t worry if you’re starting late. The contest runs through 11:59 p.m. ET on June 15, so all you have to do is find the previous posts and post the right links to the comment.
The best way to find a link? Jump to Google, type in the keyword and then “1701News.com” or “AirlockAlpha.com” and you should get a list of stories that have the phrase in it. Simple as that!
At the end of the contest, we will do two random drawings. The more entries you get (you can have a maximum of 35), the better your chance of winning. So make sure you find all seven posts before the deadline.
Winners will be notified on TrekTalk on June 16. You’ll be able to provide your mailing address (U.S. and Canada only, please … sorry!) which will be used only to send your prize (we don’t keep or sell personal information). You will need to be at least 18 years old, and there’s no purchase necessary.
You can find more details at the 1701News Facebook page.
