"Star Trek Trexels" is expanding its gameplay to include "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
Updating to version 1.5, the free iOS app from [x]cube Games and YesGnome adds new adventures, refined tactical combat gameplay and iconic characters to its arsenal, which originally focused on the original "Star Trek." "Trexels" is available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
“With the leap to 'Next Gen' for 'Trexels,' we’ve added more of the mystery, sophistication and excitement from this beloved era of Star Trek’s history, while still staying true to the fun spirit of 'The Original Series,'” said Craig Bolin, creative director at [x]cube Games. “We’re really excited for fans to see their favorite characters and ships from both series portrayed in the retro pixel art style that’s become so synonymous with the complete 'Trexels' experience.”
"Trexels" v.1.5 includes the Galaxy-Class USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and its crew, with special appearances by Q, Moriarty and Dr. Noonien Soong.
In total, 45 classic characters from the original "Star Trek" and "The Next Generation" are offered.
The game, which features more than 250 stories, also challenges players with tactical combat scenarios that allow for strategically targeting enemies and healing officers during missions in the Trexelian Expanse. And players can share their adventures and ship-building progress with a new screen capture enhancement and built-in social features.
